How to Make: Herbal Rose Popsicles (cooling + soothing in the heat!)

Last year we shared an herbal tea popsicle recipe inspired by one of our all time favorite podcast guests, Dr. Aviva Romm. Her recipe utilized a long-brew, overnight infusion with mineral-rich herbs like nettle leaf to keep you hydrated in the hot weather!

This year, we decided to bring them back with an OO twist using our Open Heart Tea in order to make the most soothing, nourishing, mood-boosting rose popsicle around. Our Open Heart Tea is not only absolutely delicious – it also contains medicinal nervines that soothe inflammation within the physical body, along with ‘inflammatory’ and ‘hot’ emotional states. This recipe is perfectly cooling and heart-opening so you can be gentle with yourself and stay present during weekend plans with your loved ones (or yourself!)

These popsicles will:

a) cool you down + provide minerals to replenish hydration

AND…

b) get even your pickiest family members to enjoy a nourishing herbal treat

INGREDIENTS:

Open Heart Tea

– Lemon and honey to taste

– Optional, dried rose petals

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Brew your Open Heart Tea by bringing water to a boil and pouring it over your loose leaf tea in a tea pot or french press. Let steep for 10-20 minutes or until desired richness
  2. Once cooled, add in the juice of 1 lemon as well as honey to taste (we added roughly 2-3 tablespoons to the whole batch)
  3. Strain and pour into popsicle molds
  4. Top with your dried rose petals for garnish
  5. Freeze until solid and enjoy!

BENEFITS:

Open Heart Tea was formulated to soothe the nervous system, create a restful space for the spirit, and promote the processing of stagnant or ‘stuck’ emotions by moving blood and Qi in order to make room for perspective, vitality and joy. This formula is made with herbs that also support the physical heart, thus promoting healthy blood circulation, supporting occasional anxiousness, and maintaining a healthy cardiovascular system.

Because this blend contains cooling nervines that are designed to soothe irritation in both the physical and mental body, it’s perfect for the heat and stagnation that can build up on a hot, humid day. While summer is arguably the best season of the year (especially to us Leos!), excessive heat and humidity in the environment can sometimes lead to sluggishness and frustration. This recipe acts as the perfect antidote to keep you moving and flowing physically and emotionally even on the hottest and stickiest of days!

Summary

Using Open Heart Tea as the base, this herbal popsicle recipe delivers more than summer refreshment—it offers a therapeutic dose of cooling nervines and mineral-rich hydration. Designed to soothe both physical inflammation and emotional tension, this heart-focused blend promotes healthy circulation and emotional release, making it the ideal remedy for summer’s heat-induced stagnation. It’s a nourishing, mood-brightening treat that helps you stay grounded and open-hearted, even when temperatures rise.
