Homemade Ginger Shots

Have you ever splurged on a tiny ginger shot at a juice bar, only to wonder why something so small costs so much? The good news is that making your own ginger shots at home is a breeze and won’t burn a hole in your wallet. With just a few simple ingredients and a little bit of effort, you can whip up these potent health boosters right in your kitchen.

Not only are homemade ginger shots super easy and affordable, but they also come packed with amazing benefits. Ginger is known for its anti-inflammatory properties, immune-boosting capabilities, and ability to aid digestion — an herbalist’s favorite!

Ingredients:

  • Fresh ginger (1-2 cups rough chopped chunks)
  • 2-3 cups filtered water

Process:

  • Wash fresh ginger well in your favorite veggie rinse
  • Chop into 1-inch chunks and add to blender
  • Pour water over top and blend until totally broken down
  • Add a funnel and strainer to a jar
  • Pour the mix through the strainer until separated from pulp
  • Keep fresh juice refrigerated and use within the week
  • Add pulp to baked goods, broths, teas, baked goods, etc or compost
