It’s amazing how much our ancestors knew about healing with plants and using food as medicine. Back in the day, our grandmothers were the ‘doctors’ of the town; and they knew exactly what to do when someone was ill!
When my mother was born, she was severely anemic (which by the way – parasites are a major cause of! They feed themselves by drinking your blood, leading directly to iron deficiency. You can read more in the study “Parasitism and Anemia.” A tapeworm found in fish is also known to consume your stores of Vitamin B12, leading to a different type of anemia).
As soon as my mother was diagnosed with this condition, her grandmother knew to give her carrot juice right away. Number one, carrots are anti-parasitic, so the juice helps to destroy the bugs causing anemia in the first place. Number two, when viewed under a high powered microscope, carrot juice molecules are analogous to human blood molecules (hemoglobin), making carrot juice a tremendous blood builder and immune system booster. This can help to restore iron/blood loss associated with anemia, parasites, and more.
On top of all this, fresh carrot juice can pull heavy metals from fatty tissue where they reside, bind them up, and discharge them from your system. Its powerful cleansing properties are effective in detoxifying the liver, making it excellent for acne which is caused by toxicity and impurities in the blood, bowels, and lymph. The carotenes in carrot juice also prevent the formation of kidney stones, and scrub away cholesterol-laden plaque build-up on the walls of coronary arteries.
So the next time you’re hungry for a snack, munch on some carrots or make a glass of fresh juice. I promise your body will thank you!
