Hey guys! Today, in my first official YouTube video, I’m talking about an emotional acupuncture technique that you can use to stop a panic attack or any kind of anxiety in minutes. As a matter of fact, you can use this technique for ANY overwhelming emotion that’s hindering your progress, or that you suspect is at the root of an illness you’re facing (since emotions have a huge effect on our physical wellness). You can even use this on plan old physical pain, (like a sore shoulder or back pain) for immediate relief. Sounds crazy, right? TRY IT! 🙂
The Emotional Freedom Technique, or EFT (often known as Tapping or EFT Tapping), is a universal healing tool that can provide results for physical and emotional issues. EFT operates on the notion that no matter what part of your life needs improvement, there are unresolved emotional issues in the way. Even for physical issues, chronic pain, or diagnosed conditions, it is commonly known that any kind of emotional stress can hinder the natural healing potential of the human body.
All negative emotions are felt through a disruption of the body’s energy. And physical pain and disease are intricately connected to negative emotions. In my video, I talk about how fear, over time, will weaken your kidneys. Anger will weaken your liver. As we know all too well from the butterflies, worry effects the stomach. There is a specific organ that relates to every single emotion, so whenever one of our organs is malfunctioning we have to take that into consideration.
In many cases, you can tap to treat a specific emotion or experience you’ve identified. However, EFT can even be applied directly to physical symptoms for relief without exploring any emotional contributors at all. I have used EFT for something as simple as a sore throat without treating any underlying emotional issues.
How to Perform EFT:
Step 1: Identify the problem you want to focus on. It can be general anxiety, or it can be a specific situation or issue which causes you to feel anxious. This could also be physical pain, or anything really: fear of public speaking, headache, anger at Joe, stiff neck, inability to take action, etc.
Step 2: Compose your affirmation statement. It should acknowledge the problem you want to deal with, then follow with an unconditional affirmation of yourself and your worth as a person.
“Even though I have this ____ (stress, fear, pain, issue with Joe, etc.), I deeply and completely accept myself.”
“Even though I have this panic attack, I deeply and completely accept myself.”
“Even though I have anxiety when I think about ___, I deeply and completely accept myself.”
“Even though I’m having trouble breathing, I deeply and completely accept myself.”
Step 3: Repeat this affirmation statement 3 times while tapping on the karate chop point.
Step 4: Keep the first part of your affirmation statement as your “reminder phrase.” So if your affirmation statement was “Even though I have this panic attack, I deeply and completely accept myself,” your reminder phrase would be simply “this panic attack.”
Step 5: Repeat “this panic attack” (whatever your reminder phrase is) as you tap each point 5-10 times in the proper sequence.
