Ice Bucket Challenge? No. Ketogenic Diet for ALS? Yes!

The ALS foundation is not going to give you the cure for ALS, just like all cancer foundations will not give you the many cures for cancer, such as cannabis oil. Cannabis cures cancer and also helps ALS, so it scares Big Pharma to the bone! Instead of doing the #IceBucketChallenge, today I will talk about diet for ALS.
Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Autism, Epilepsy, MS, ALS… what do they all have in common? They are all neurodegenerative disorders that are highly related to ATP deficiency (as well as liver toxicity, heavy metals such as mercury and aluminum, and parasites in the brain – but that is for another post. If you’d like to research more about the heavy metal connection to these disorders, please see this link. Many cases of ALS have developed after people have been given the flu vaccine or the Gardasil vaccine. Vancouver neuroscientist Chris Shaw has proved a link between the aluminum hydroxide used in vaccines, and symptoms associated with Parkinson’s, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS, or Lou Gehrig’s disease), and Alzheimer’s. “No one in my lab wants to get vaccinated,” he said. “This totally creeped us out. We weren’t out there to poke holes in vaccines. But all of a sudden, oh my God—we’ve got neuron death!” Here is the rest of the article from Shaw.)
You can help this ATP deficiency through a high fat ketogenic diet that contains no sugar. Diet plays a huge role in disease. Eating a raw vegan, plant based diet can cure many diseases… However, for specific *neurodegenerative* diseases we must look to a “ketogenic” diet, where 80% of calories come from fat and 20% of calories from a mixture of protein and carbohydrates. Why? Patients with neurodegenerative disorders all have an inability to create ATP. ATP is your body’s source of energy. Without ATP/energy we have memory loss, tremors, seizures, muscle dysfunction etc.
How does this happen? Let’s talk about Alzheimer’s. It’s beginning to be known as “Type 3 Diabetes” or “Diabetes of the Brain.” Diabetes is a case of insulin resistance where the body cannot take the sugar consumed in the diet and deliver it to the cells. Type 3 Diabetes, or Alzheimers, is a case where the BRAIN is insulin resistant or deficient.
Foods that have certain fatty acids are metabolized into ketones. Ketones are an alternative energy source for the brain. Ketones go through the “back door” and do NOT require insulin to get into the cell for ATP production!
Best fats for ALS on a ketogenic diet:
Coconut oil/MCT oil contains medium chain fatty acids that are immediately absorbed and go STRAIGHT to the brain and cells of the body as an alternative ATP source. Research Dr. Mary Newport, her husband developed Alzheimers at 57. She gave him the coconut oil and immediately his personality, mood & cognition returned. 4 years later, his Alzheimers has not progressed but rather regressed. Take 2 tbsp. of coconut oil at each meal to keep your ketone levels high throughout the day. I take MCT oil each morning as an energy boost.
Omega 3’s are absolutely imperative. These are what the brain and body need to maintain and repair nerve cells! I highly recommend fermented cod liver oil and wild fish. Please watch this video below of a doctor who cured her MS by eating wholesome foods from the earth and land, including wild fish, seaweed, tons of leafy greans, grass-fed organ meats and more:
Alpha-Lipoic Acid has been shown to greatly reduce the onset of ALS in laboratory rats. Link to the study here.
