Tropical Sunset Smoothie: Best Lunch Ever!

In LOVE with this. I used to hate drinking smoothies as meals because I love to eat.. why would I want to drink my meals and skip having something delicious?! That was before I discovered pineapple… Yes, it’s true, I only tried my first piece of pineapple 3 months ago! I also only tried strawberries a year ago. I was a very picky eater when I was a kid – my diet consisted of two things: peanut butter sandwiches (no jelly), and honey nut cheerios. Probably the two most GM things you can ingest, especially since I was addicted to Skippy PB… never again!

Now that I’m a pineapple fiend, I find a way to put them into everything. They are the best flavor of food I’ve ever tried. Is this really turning into a blog post where I confess my undying romantic love to pineapple?

Yes. And you should make this pineapple smoothie. Because your mouth will thank you. You won’t even miss chewing a meal.

Bottom Layer:
2 handfuls of frozen berries: blackberries, blueberries & raspberries
1/2 cup of wild berry herbal tea
10 drops of stevia
2 ice cubes
Middle Layer:
2 cups pineapple
2 ice cubes
Top Layer:
5 frozen strawberries
1/2 frozen banana
a few frozen mango chunks
splash of wild berry herbal tea
3 drops stevia
I blended all of the layers separately in my ninja, and poured one over another. You don’t need the stevia, I just like extra sweet smoothies that taste like dessert! Enjoy!
