Detox Bath Recipe

As a goodbye to 2013, on New Years Eve, I took an amazing detox bath. Sometimes I have trouble getting to sleep and this is THE bath that will ease you right into dreamland. I wake up feeling amazing after I take one of these.

1 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar – ACV helps to promote youthful skin and a vibrant healthy body by removing toxins throughout the organs (even from the outside!) Our skin is our largest organ so it absorbs these healing powers very well. ACV can fight germs, bacteria, virus and mold naturally, and balances the pH of your skin.

1 Cup Epsom Salts – Epsom salts have beneficial properties unlike any other salt. The magnesium in them can soothe the body (and the mind, especially when you take the time for yourself to soak in a bath). They relax the nervous system, cure skin problems, soothe back pain and aching limbs. Epsom Salts can even heal cuts and treat colds and congestion by drawing toxins from the body.

5 Drops Of Essential Oil – I love to use lavender. Essential oils have been used for centuries and are completely natural ways to give yourself aromatherapy. Lavender essential oil is often called a “virtual first aid kit in a bottle.” The antibacterial properties fight germs, and its relaxing scent can ease digestion and headaches.
